Happy New Year! Anna celebrates MBE announcement

Anna Morgan is awarded an MBE

We are delighted to announce that Anna Morgan, who is currently on secondment as Director of Workforce for the Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership, was recognised in the Queen’s New Years’ Honours and will be receiving an MBE for her services to nursing and for her work in helping NCH&C achieve its ‘Outstanding’ rating from the CQC.

Anna spoke of her ‘absolute delight and surprise’ upon hearing she is to be made a Member of the British Empire (MBE). She said: “I am immensely proud to be recognised and receive this honour, but I would also like to recognise many colleagues from within health and social care who have inspired me throughout my career and who also contributed to Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the CQC. What I hope this award will do is to help raise the profile of nursing and inspire others to embark on a fantastic career in health and care. It is truly fantastic that I am receiving this award to coincide with the start the Year of the Nurse and Midwife, a year-long celebration of nurses, in honour of Florence Nightingale.”

CEO of NCH&C, Josie Spencer, said: “Anna has gone above and beyond in so many ways: working for NCH&C for nine years and playing a key role in making the trust what it is today. It’s clear to anyone who comes into contact with Anna that her core purpose is to enable our teams to deliver care and serve our patients’ needs. She continually strives to ensure our staff are supported to deliver the best care they can.”

Well done Anna!
